your first look at Citizens Bank Park The first game at Citizens Bank Park, a preseason contest between the Phillies and the Cleveland Indians, will be shown on Comcast SportsNet at 1:05 p.m. tomorrow. KYW will air the season opener vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates at 4 p.m. Monday. The KYW battery of Ukee Washington and Beasley Reece will host "Eye on the Phillies" at 7:30 tonight. Washington is filling in for Larry Mendte, whose wife, Dawn Stensland of WTXF, gave birth to son Michael on Thursday. WPVI "ace" Gary Papa and his rotation of Scott Palmer, Jack Brayboy and Phil Andrews will host "2004 Phillies: You Gotta Believe" at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow. Comcast SportsNet will air 107 Phillies games this year. "Lovebirds" Harry Kalas and Chris Wheeler, plus Larry Anderson, Scott Graham and Tom McCarthy are the broadcast team. WPEN 950-AM will be the radio home again for the team. It is going into the final year of its three-year deal with the team. Radio insiders are speculating that the Phillies may end up on 990-AM next year. The station, which had been WZZD, just changed its format from Christian to syndicated conservative talk and its call letters to WNTP, which stands for "News Talk Philadelphia." Although Bucks County listeners are fortunate to have WBCB 1490-AM as part of the Phillies radio network, I hope the Phils will sign with another flagship radio station after this year. WPEN's signal is too weak. New host Speaking of reception-challenged stations, ESPN 920-AM just named John Mozes the co-host of its afternoon sports talk show. He'll join Tripp Rogers on the 4 p.m.-7 p.m. show, which can barely be heard outside of the Trenton area. Final Four Oklahoma State will face Georgia Tech in the NCAA semifinals at 6:07 p.m. tomorrow. Then, 40 minutes after that game ends, Connecticut and Duke will play. The national championship will be at 9 p.m. Monday. Jim Nantz and Billy Packer will call their 14th consecutive national championship game together. This is Packer's 30th year in a row doing the title game. By the way, last Saturday's Saint Joseph's loss to Oklahoma State scored a 14.2 rating/23 share for KYW. Each rating point equals 28,743 homes. He's so Fine The new face seen on Comcast SportsNet is Lower Merion native Matt Fine. Fine, 34, is a freelance reporter who also is doing work for the Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic division. Fair reporter Former Philadelphia Charge player Lorrie Fair will be the sideline reporter for ESPN2's coverage of Major League Soccer games this season. Dream come true Congratulations to Mike Hall of the University of Missouri who won the "Dream Job" on ESPN personality last week. Another winner was host Stuart Scott, who did a great job on the series. After "Dream Job" and his spots on VH1's "I Love the 80s" and "I Love the 70s" specials, Scott has gone up in my book. Grandpa Angelo WIP 610-AM's Angelo Cataldi became a grandfather for the second time, as his daughter Meredith and her husband Don had a baby girl, Adrianna Rose Latka last week. She joins big sister Julia. He's g-o-o-d! Veteran Eagles announcer Merrill Reese will receive the lifetime achievement award at the annual March of Dimes "Achievement in Radio" (AIR Awards) in the fall.
